On the occasion of visit by Ms. Judy O’Connor, World Bank’s Country Director for Tanzania and Uganda (stationed in Tanzania since 2002), the World Bank and TICAD Civil Society Forum will co-organize a public seminar “Tanzania, Uganda, Japan and the World Bank: Opportunities for Growth and Investment”. The seminar will discuss, joined by Japanese development practitioners and experts for Africa, the current status and future opportunities for growth and investment of two countries, and collaboration for support among donors such as Japan and the World Bank. This seminar will be held as part of “Africa 2008 Campaign” to raise awareness towards the TICAD4 (4rth Tokyo International Conference for African Development). Via videoconference, Kobe University’s Graduate School of International Cooperation Studies, Kyoto University’s Graduate School of Asian and African Studies, Hokkaido University’s Graduate School of International Media and Communications, will join the discussion. Co-organized by the World Bank and TICAD Civil Society Forum Date: Thursday, May 31, 2007 11:30am-1:30pm
