Africa Caravan 2007

Africa 2008 Campaign organized "Africa Caravan 2007" collaborated with JICA, JBIC and TCSF
in 5 cities of Komagane (Nagano Pref.), Matsuyama (Ehime Pref.), Naha (Okinawa Pref.), Sapporo (Hokkaido), and Nishiwaga (Iwate Pref.).

(1) Komagane, Nagano (29th Sep.)
JICA Komagane, a training center for Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers, in Nagano on 29^th Sep. The main Host group are Society for Zimbabwe represented by Kumiko HAYASHIMOTO, and JICA Komagane. The timeschedule of the day was like below.

11th Coffee Hour with the Ambassador of Malawi

PIC Tokyo (World Bank) and TCSF (TICAD Civil Society Forum) co-organise the 11th Coffee Hour with H. E. Mr. Roosevelt Laston GONDWE, the Ambassador of the Republic of Malawi. Commentator is Mr. Kohei Yamada, ex-JOCV (Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers) member in Malawi. Mr. Yamada released a song  "Ndimakukonda (I love you)", song for HIV prevention in Malawi and this song topped the chart.

Voices from the African People

The 4th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD IV) is to be held in Japan in 2008.
To mark the coming year as the decisive year to join Africans fighting for better world, we in TICAD Civil Society Forum (TCSF) are launching "Africa 2008 Campaign".

This time we are asking you to send African people’s "Voices." These voices will be shared with people in Japan and the rest of the world.

Please send us your voices together with such information as your name (nickname is OK), country of citizenship, and occupation.
Your "voices" could be your appeals towards Japan and the rest of the World on what you are struggling in your own daily lives and your aspirations for the future.
