Run for Africa

MARATHON PROJECT; “RUN FOR AFRICA”

To incite awareness toward Africa, Africa 2008 Campaign promotes "Run for Africa" T-shirts. Collaborating with Standard Chartered Bank, Africa 2008 Campaign supporters run with Mr. Henry Wanyoike, blind Marathon Runner from Kenya, and his escort runner, Mr. Joseph Kibunja. 

Campaign arranged the PR activities with the Public Cooperation Bureau of the Bank. Cooperating with Africa Club of Takushoku University, around 20 people joined the Marathon wearing the T-shirts.

stecker The 4th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD IV) and G8 Summit are to be held in Japan in 2008. To mark the coming year as the directive year to build up national momentum for a wider acknowledgement to support “Africans at work”, TICAD Civil Society Forum (TCSF) is launching “Africa 2008 Campaign” in collaboration with various counterparts in Japan.
